This year came in double shot!!!!
It is with great joy that I come to announce the colors chosen to represent the long-awaited year 2021.
According to Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the PANTONE COLOR INSTITUTE, “The union of an enduring Ultimate Gray with the vibrant Yellow Illuminating expresses a message of positivity supported by fortitude. Practical and rock solid but at the same time warming and optimistic, this is a color combination that gives us resilience and hope. We need to feel encouraged and uplifted; this is essential to the human spirit”.
That is why the decision to choose two independent colors that complement each other. I thought this concept was really amazing!
According to the opinion of the company ULTIMATE GRAY, this “neutral” gray tone is solid and represents wisdom, intelligence and construction. The color is also a reference to the “gray” year of 2020, marked by a pandemic of historic proportions that changed our lives in many ways. ILLUMINATING, on the other hand, is a shade of yellow that represents sunlight and the hope for better days. “It is a combination that encourages us to go forward”
I hope that light and wisdom will be portrayed and lived out in our events to come.
