The Mini Wedding is here to stay

Updated: Aug 22, 2023

When we think of a wedding, the first thing that comes to mind is: How big is my party?

For decades, a child's wedding was always a social event, practically defined by the parents. I say this because the bride and groom had little influence on decorating decisions, food and, mainly, the guest list.

I confess that at my wedding (this year I will celebrate the Silver Wedding Anniversary) our parents took control of the list, which ended with almost 300 people. We were introduced to several people on the day of the party that we didn't even know. Don't be alarmed, this was quite common.

I've been working with event decoration for 24 years and I've noticed a big change in this scenario in the last 10, 15 years.

The couples started to get engaged later and with that took over the decisions of that event.

The pandemic has accelerated this trend. After almost 2 years, worried and isolated, they went back to celebrating their weddings, in fact, celebrating life!

You must be wondering, but why should a wedding, which is one of the greatest moments of our lives, be small?

I tell you, the small is light and offers unrivaled intimacy. Marriage becomes discreet. Only the dearest and closest ones can provide you with a truly magical day. This experience will always be remembered.

When you choose a small event or Mini Wedding, your search for a venue where it will be accomplished is much easier. I make it clear that we are talking about a place that holds up to 120 people. The number of available places for this group of people is huge compared to one that needs to fit 300, 500 or even 1000 people.

Another positive point is the relocation or even cost reduction. By opting for a small wedding, you can choose where you want to invest more resources, i.e., in what really matters to you. Whether in the most elaborate decoration, in the excellent cuisine, in a dream honeymoon, in a renowned photographer or videographer, who will record your memories. It's all about quality over quantity.

A WEDDING HAS TO BE UNFORGETTABLE! You and your guests will certainly remember it as a UNIQUE EXPERIENCE. That's the future. Trust me, MINI WEDDING IS HERE TO STAY.
